aloha everyone, this is a day or so late, but....We had a continued nice sail across the channel and above Maui, but as wind increased, it clocked a bit, so we had to sail slightly more North, and then jibe back down, ultimately doing that a few times. The wind got up to 25-30kt, the most for the entire trip, and the seas built. We did see another pigmy whale surfing in the waves behind us. due to wind strength, we decided to do chicken jibes, and during our last one, we picked up our fishing line on either prop or rudder, but I knew if it didn't clear itself, I would be making a dive on the bottom in the bay before could start the engine.
