Another test!  Trying to figure out best way to prepare this for publishing, so writing this on word processor and will then copy and paste.  Mounted solar panels today and should complete set up tomorrow.  Worried about interference with winch handles.  Will need to test that out.  Have new BBQ, all sorts of things coming together.  Aloha

This is a test and only a test!  Testing ability to email my posts to the blog.  Busy with so many projects, including learning to use sat phone, including email, plus reading weather GRIBs.  Hope to finish some big  projects this weekend and get down to the small ones.  Aloha

First Post

Aloha All, this is the first post, purely a test.  Lots to learn to figure out how this really works.  Our departure date is about seven weeks away.  If my crew was set, and I had a few other major things done, such as water maker and solar panels, I would be feeling pretty good about now.  However, those things should be handled within a week or so, which will leave me with lots of cleaning, organizing, inventorying, provisioning, loading, etc.  But, at this time, it all seems doable.   Talked with my Brother today.  He is concerned that he may the second most experienced aboard.  I didn't have the heart to tell him that there may be only two of us.  However, I am completely confident that the two of us can handle it and confident I will find a third crew.  Aloha, David
